Automotive und Rail Innovation Center GmbH (ARIC GmbH) has been taken over by IKADO GmbH, Aachen, as part of the succession process. The new Managing Director of ARIC GmbH is Erik Pinders, who is also Managing Director of IKADO GmbH.
ARIC GmbH was founded in November 2017 by Martin Pölöskey in Wegberg-Wildenrath as a spin-off from AGIT mbH, Aachen, and has been managed since then. The most recent research projects were SAMIRA – a shunting assistant for freight trains, Drones4Safety for drone inspection flights in a swarm over long distances and SRI – a SMART Rail Inspector for analyzing track quality and wear condition.
Martin Pölöskey: “I am very pleased that IKADO GmbH is a strong partner who will continue to run the company and thus offer the necessary growth opportunities for the future. I am also extremely pleased that I can continue to accompany the company as a consultant and actively support the SAMIRA2 project that has now been launched.”
Erik Pinders: “ARIC GmbH gives us the great opportunity to contribute our expertise in system and software development in IKADO’s IT system house to forward-looking research projects and to further develop them across a broad spectrum. This will create valuable synergies in the overall network and diversify the existing business areas.”
The contact person for the joint R&D area of IKADO and ARIC is Sam Münchow, who has already played a key role in all of the above-mentioned projects.
