DETECTOR will be tested in a range of environments.  It has already been tested in field trials in the UK (figures above) in which jammers were operated at a military site and has been used to collect data at a site in a busy urban area.

Val3

It has also been tested in laboratory conditions using the specialist facilities of the Institute for the Protection and Security of the Citizen (IPSC) at the EC Joint Research Centre (JRC) in Ispra Italy (figures above).  Detection and characterisation capabilities have been tested for a range of jammers.

In all tests to date the proposed DETECTOR solution has successfully detected and characterised jammers.
Further tests are planned in which jammers will be placed on vehicles within the laboratory with detectors placed at various locations to evaluate how location conditions impact the ability to detect and characterise jammers.

Val4

DETECTOR will also be validated with real GNSS jammers at the AutomotiveGATE test site in Germany. This facility supports tests in which detectors can be installed in various roadside locations, or on road vehicle, and jammers can also be dynamic or static. This opens up possibilities to test a wide range of detection scenarios.
